Yates, Jerry Curtis, 80, of Beavercreek, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday. October 9, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents Arminta (Perrigan) and Jerry Yates; brothers Alva Yates, Dallas Yates and Odell Yates; sister Draxie Yates. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Virginia (Ginny) Yates; children Debbie and Ron Gay of Beavercreek, Kim and Mark Wilson of Beavercreek, Ron and Kym Yates of Springboro; brother Allen(Louise) Yates of Knoxville, TN; sister June (Bud) Church of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren Trisha (Brian) Eaver of Miamisburg, Lindsay Wilson of Beavercreek, Christa (Dave) Charles of Atlanta, GA, Randy Gage of Fairfax, VA, Korye, Kristyn, and Konner Yates of Springboro; great grand-children Sierra Tacey of Miamisburg, Kayla Charles of Atlanta, GA. Jerry worked for Seat Cover Jack’s for 10 years before working for General Motors for 30 years , where he retired. Jerry loved to hunt, fish, play his guitar and work outside in his yard. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #321 and the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1134 in Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 14, 2013 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Pastor Chuck Moore officiating. Interment Valley View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 -11 AM Monday. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Dayton. They were so wonderful!
