For 51 years He watched the sun rise in the morning and set at the end of the day, only to rise again the next morning. He looked around at flowers blooming in the spring and sleeping in the fall, only to burst forth from the earth again after the cold harshness of winter's touch has gone. He has seen children awaken and observed family members fall asleep. He has marveled contemplatively at how we each have our appointed time to come and our appointed time to leave. May 28, 1969 in Dayton, OH was His time to come and July 28, 2020 at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek, Oh. was Jimmie L. Gibson Jr’s. time to leave. He had a loving family who was always there, his wife praying to God for his comfort. He lived a full and amazing life, He was truly blessed. He had a lot of experiences when he was “of the world” which prepared Him for what God had in mind for His life. As he continued assignments of his life, such as an assistant for Zapp and Roger .Music was a huge part of his life as he helped musicians create music. He accomplished many honors in life , however his greatest accomplishment was completing his Masters in Business Management from Ohio University. Jimmie knew no strangers and gave freely to anyone in need. He was a successful Real Estate Broker and a former Instructor with Hondros College. Jimmie was preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents, Aberdeen and Mary Pitts, Maternal Grandparents, Frank and Lovinia Weatherspoon. Jimmie is survived by his parents, Jimmie Sr. and Ernestine Gibson, loving & devoted wife, Zaneta (sons, Nathaniel Christopher, Jenny(fiancé) and Alexander), former wife, Mary Cox (their sons, Christopher Lawrence and Aaron Michael). Daughter Brittany (Nick) Brown, and grandchildren, Kai, Malia Brown. Jimmie is also survived by sister, Denise (Jeff) Gauntner. Jimmie will be missed by good friends Tim Lockhart, Rufus Troutman, Ricky Young, El Divine Bey and his numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins in the Gibson, Weatherspoon, Baker, Canada, and Pitts families. -Written by Wife,(Zaneta) and sister (Denise)

Jimmie was a true gentleman. I met him when he was twelve years old, serving in the capacity as his math teacher for two years. He continued to visit me dropping by my classroom and keeping touch even after I retired. A truly wonderful student, and just a joy to know. He truly made a impact on my life.
May God comfort the family during this difficult time.

Spending the Day with Cousin Jimmy...In May...I reached out to him on Facebook... We hadn't heard from... Nor seen each other... In several years... We decided it was time to just hang out... Catch up... He treated me to lunch...We talked for two hours... Discussed and talked about so much... From his children... To my child... My Recovery from Paralysis... Plans for the future... What he was vested in... His Immediate family...We laughed...joked...We were making plans to visit his Daughter... In Tennessee... He Actually called her... And I spoked to her... For the first time EVER...After that Day... We were able to hang out several more times... For extended periods of time... Even had the opportunity too... See his mom again... Ride around with her and Jimmy... Grab some Food...Cuz loved his Fried Mushrooms... From Super Subbys... He Will Truly Be Missed

I didn't know Jimmy very well or very long. But I did recognize the brother's passion for people and his commitment to our community. He was definitely a good brother and a positive influence. My sincerest condolences to the family. May his memorial be a bridge.

Jimmie was an amazing guy. We had great conversations at Comtech and I learned a lot from him to help me in my career. He will be missed.
