Jimmie Joe Thomason

Thomason, Jimmie, age 66, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2016, at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Jamestown, TN on July 11, 1949, the son of Earl Oscar and Jessie (Welch) Thomason , who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Jamie Thomason, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Hamilton) Thomason; three daughters, Melissa (Paul) Strausburg, Tonya Jackson, Tami (Shawn) Carlile; a son, Anthony Thomason; four sisters, Ruth Dillon, Barb Dillon, Lucy Brown, Nellie Bailey; three brothers, Gerald, Charlie and Melvin Thomason; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was a tool and die maker and a faithful member of the Spaulding Road Church of God. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Spaulding Road Church of God, 1658 Spaulding Road with Pastor Larry Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
