Dad was a Car Enthusiast. If you knew our Dad you knew this. He had an exceptional eye for rare cars and their worth. Many a year , even in his 80s, you would find him in a garage under a car that he was either going to flip for a profit or keep for a bit. He would say “everything is for sale” even if it is one of those most rarest of cars that he sought out for. Many a Friday night was spent in his chair in the shade at a local car show. He and his sons traveled to many car shows and events throughout the years.
On a personal note, we will miss his conversations, his knowledge and his friendships with each of us kids. He loved to talk, was very social. I, Debbie, will miss the cups of coffee in the morning, talking about the past and the future. I know Jim and Mark will miss his talks and experiences on rebuilding cars. We will miss him, but he is now reunited with Mom again, and for that alone, it brings us peace.
Special thanks to Hospice of Dayton for their very loving and caring attention they gave to not only Dad but us kids as we were with him.
Services will be Monday, May 11th at Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio from 11-1. Burial thereafter at Valley View Cemetery in Xenia. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Dayton would be appreciated.
