Joan Elizabeth Morris, age 66, of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on Thursday, March 14th 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred and Hazel Elking; and brothers, Michael and Glenn Elking. She is survived by her significant other, Chris Howar; her son, Kevin Martz; daughter-in-law, Mendi Martz; brothers Tom and Matthew Elking; and loving grandchildren: Skylar, Easton, and Emilee Martz.
Joan was a graduate of Beavercreek High School and worked in medical records for most of her professional career. She was an avid football fan and could be found cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Joan loved dolphins and her prized processions were her glass dolphin figurines. She was also an adoring Gammy to her three grandchildren, whom she loved fiercely. Joan will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
