Joan graduated from Ball Memorial School of Nursing. She was proud of her career as a cardiac intensive care nurse of 10 years which spanned three hospitals in South Bend, Indiana, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Lompoc, California. She met Don, her husband, in Colorado and talked fondly of the mountains and the Colorado blue skies.
Joan was a sports enthusiast and loved the NBA and NFL. She loved animals and passed that love onto her children and grandchildren. Joan will be remembered for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She fiercely loved her close friends and had a warm soul who made everyone feel welcome. Her greatest joy will forever be her family, and especially her grandchildren.
