Joanne S. Petering passed away on the morning of her 83rd birthday. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 2nd, 1939 to the late John and Philamena Sciarrino. Joanne never knew a stranger— no matter where she was, she would make a genuine friend. Her ability to make special connections with others led her to a career as a realtor for 35 plus years. Joanne was a devout Catholic— she was dedicated to her Rosary group and took great pride in her faith. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ron Petering; sons Jon Petering and Bill (Dianna) Petering of Dayton, Ohio; daughter Amy (Craig) Holman of Columbus, Ohio; sister Barb Masterson of Roseville, California; grandchildren Christina, Kyle, Jack, Michelle, Aly, Audrey, and Lindsay; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A visitation for Joanne will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio. A visitation will occur Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at St Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A mass of Christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432.
