John W. Bohler, 69, passed away peacefully on July 2 after living with Lewy Body Disease. A screenplay writer by training, he served in the Coast Guard Reserves for 20 years, raised two children (Alexandra and Stephen), worked various jobs including Transcultural Director at United Seminary, and in addition to coaching, volunteered with PTAs, Methodist churches, The Other Place (now Homefull), GDCC, and the Dayton View Triangle. His wife, Carolyn; daughter, Alexandra; and granddaughters, Kya and Alana, will carry on his passion serving the community. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Homefull or WYSO. A memorial service will be held July 13, 2018, 12pm, at Grace UMC. Reception to follow.
