John “Hank” Henry Gustin, 84, of Centerville, passed on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Bethany Village. Hank was born on June 13, 1941 in Dayton to the late Richard and Ernestine VanHo Gustin of Miamisburg. He was a graduate Miamisburg High School, attended Morehead State University, retired G M, and Tobias Funeral Home. He also served Village of Springboro Village Council, Fire Department Life Squad, Police Department and as a Sargent US Army. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Baber Gustin; sons, Nathan (Tara) Gustin Omaha, Nebraska and Seth (Sally) Gustin of Ft. Collins Colorado; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and his brother, James Gustin of Houston, Texas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45429, on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Hank’s Life at 6:00 pm.
Hank’s final resting place will be at the Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton 45428.
