John L. Helsinger

HELSINGER, John L., age 81, passed away Friday, October 2, 2015 John was born on March 31, 1934 in Mason, Ohio to the late Raymond and Mary (Lamar) Helsinger. He is also preceded in death by his step-mother Helen (Barlow) Helsinger and his step-father Harold Bennett. John retired from Delco Moraine in Dayton after 43 years and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife Sue, sisters Mary Rae Chamberlain and Barbara Schenk of Colorado, sons David (Kathy) of Miamisburg, Jeff (Janice) of GA, and Jim (Suzanne) of FL, step-son David Brown of Springboro, and step-daughter Tami Hartley of Centerville. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews. Family and friends may gather from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd. Kettering, Ohio 45429, with a memorial service at 1:30 p.m., Dr. Barry DeShetler officiating, interment at Miami Valley Memory Gardens following.
