

John Michael Ligotino, was born on Monday, August 21st, 1978 in Ft. Worth, Texas and passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kettering, Ohio on Friday, April 23rd, 2021. He was 42 years old. On March 9th, 2002, Mike married the love of his life Courtney Lee. Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Army and also worked in I.T. and cybersecurity. Mike was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Mike was an incredibly loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a smile that could light up a room and had a heart of gold. He loved to sing and make people laugh. More than anything, Mike loved to spend time with his family. He loved playing football, basketball and video games with his boys. To say that Mike will be missed immensely is an understatement. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Frank Ligotino, step-father-in-law, Robert Kemper, uncle, Robert Davis; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Mike is survived by his wife, Courtney Ligotino, his beautiful boys, Kadin and Kyle, of the home; mother, Velma Laur (Darrell), of Effingham, IL; sister, Lisa Goacher (Curtis), of Easton, MO; brother, Jason Ligotino (Betsy) of Lacey, WA; mother-in-law, Diane Lee, of Kettering, OH; father-in-law, Kenneth Lee, of Kettering, OH; brother-in-law, Michael Lee (Kristina), of Marysville, OH; sister-in-law, Kristin Bandura (Justin), Fairborn, OH; brother-in-law, Joshua Lee, Chillicothe, OH; nephews and nieces, Austin, Jason and Logan Goacher; Quinton and Allyssa Ligotino; Daniel Henson; Mason and Samuel Lee; Taylor Bandura; great-nephew Mavon Goacher; and best friend Scott Watters (Elizabeth). A private service was held on Wednesday, April 28th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Tobias Funeral Home – Far Hills Chapel. Pastor Don Payne officiating. Burial David’s Cemetery, Kettering, Ohio.
