LYNCH, John Graham of Dayton, OH died 13 October 2026 at age 72 years old. He was preceded in death by his mother Joan Marie-Michele (na. Graham) and father Jeremiah Robert Lynch. He is survived by his loving wife Candace (Cook) of 40 years of marriage, his sister Jane Lynch, his children John A. Lynch, Brenna Lynch, Michele M. Lynch (Harry Phillips), grandchildren Jeremiah Lynch, Erica Jane Lynch-Phillips and cousin Sharon Danosky. Also, sister-in-law Maura Cook, and brothers-in-law Frederick Cook and Allen Michalec.
Born October 6, 1954 in Boston, MA, his early years were spent traveling overseas with his parents while his dad was in the Air Force.
John received his undergraduate business degree from Antioch McGregor University and then received his MBA from the University of Dayton.
John was founder/owner and operator of Dayton Systems in 1978, and founder of Total Systems, On-line Systems, & Consolidated Software, Inc. In 1982 he sold the businesses and joined NCR Corporation. There he led the software development team developing communications interfaces for ATMs and retail Point-Of-Sale devices. John and Candy met at NCR in 1983. In 1984 he moved to product manager marketing and he eventually became Assistant Vice President, PC Marketing, Europe, Middle East and Africa. Later John joined Digital Controls and the Ross Group (which through acquisitions became RDX) until retirement. John was also on the Board of Directors of Shumsky for many years. Through these years he became lifelong friends with Keith Vozel, Mike Denny, Mike Visser, Bob Roalef, Dan Rang, David Finley, Hank Prenger, and many others.
He loved to travel and had many adventures abroad: war tanks in Moscow during their May Day celebrations, bistros in Paris, London with Jack, Michele and Harry, and a few Oktoberfest trips to Munich. He loved and hated golf as all who play the game understand. He was a great cook and never met a grill he couldn’t conquer. His recent recipe was a quiche with a shredded potato crust, which was delicious
Most importantly, he was a loving and wonderful husband, a great brother to Jane, a wonderful father to Jack and Michele, a true friend to those who knew him, and he will be forever missed, but forever in our hearts.
