

Orcutt III, John Ross “Jack”, age 90 of Naples, Florida passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Lynne Orcutt; his parents, John R. “Jack” Orcutt and Mildred Quinn Orcutt, in laws Joseph and Maria Milner Belanich; brother in laws, William and James Belanich; sister in laws, Marie Belanich and Joanna Belanich Garry, brother in law, Jack Garry and sister in law Susan (Chicke) Belanich.
He is survived by his sister Karol (Deanie) Orcutt Brunemann; brother in laws, Joseph and Michael Belanich; sister in laws, Suzanne Belanich and Judith Belanich. He is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Jack was born on October 10, 1935 in Franklin Hospital in Franklin Pennsylvania. He lived his very life in Oil City, Pennsylvania until his parents moved to northeastern Ohio where he was in grade school and lived there until graduating from Euclid Senior High School.
Jack received his secondary education at Miami University in Business Administration and Cleveland State University (Fenn College, (Washkewics Engineering). He was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at Miami.
He served his country with honors, first at Miami Air Force ROTC and the United States Army. He spent time with the United States Naval War College.
Jack was an outstanding athlete both scholastically and professionally. He loved playing golf and was President of Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva, Illinois for its first three years of operation. He belonged to The Virginian Country Club in Bristol, Virginia, Kinsington Country Club and West Bay Country Club in Naples, Florida. He was honored to be the Captain of the LaPlaya inter club golf team, for years at his country club, LaPlaya Golf Club in Naples, Florida. The Interclub team competing in the FSGA prestige men’s interclub matches.
He owned Mandy’s Land Farm in LaFox, Illinois where he and his wife raised, raced, and showed Thoroughbred horses. They were passionate equestrians and were especially fond of their horse Just By Chance (Mandy), who traveled the country competing in the top English Saddle indoor & outdoor premier horse shows. She won 90% of the championships in her class. There were three different Olympic riders who rode her.
Jack was President and Owner of Equiptrol, Inc. in Hinsdale, Illinois for 50 years, was a Commodore of a Yacht Club in Chicago, and President of many business organizations.
He was loved by everyone who knew him, by his family, loads of friends, teammates, employees, competitors, always had a smile on his face. Jack will be greatly missed.
