OBITUARY

John H Rambeck

August 31, 1984June 22, 2020

John Harold Rambeck, 35, of Xenia, Ohio, passed away on June 22, 2020. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and namesakes Harold Rambeck and Eva (paternal) and John Ellis and Mary (maternal). He is survived by his parents, Robin and Shirley Rambeck, his siblings, Nathan (with wife Jamie), Jason (with wife Caren) and Katie, and his girlfriend Ashley Akers. John was surrounded by a thriving and loving extended family including 11 aunts and uncles, 7 cousins, and 14 nieces and nephews.

John was born on August 31, 1984 to Robin and Shirley Rambeck in Portsmouth, Virginia. As a Navy kid, John experienced part of his childhood on military bases in the Philippines and Germany, then finished up most of his school years in Puyallup, Washington from the 6th grade on. After high school, John worked primarily in the painting business for many years. In 2013, John moved to Xenia, Ohio to be close to family and attended the Hobart Institute of Welding Technology. After completing his education, he worked as a welder at Faurecia Exhaust Systems.

In 2018, John met Ashley Akers, a nurse from Troy, Ohio who became his dearly cherished girlfriend. Though their plans for marriage and family were tragically cut short, they spent the last couple years building a beautiful relationship and romance.

John will be remembered by his friends and family for his energetic and exuberant childhood, his love for life, his generous care and concern for others (even strangers), his love of laughter, his quick wit and his fierce loyalty. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

From his childhood, John put his faith and hope for eternity in Jesus Christ and His gift of salvation. We rejoice that he is with the Lord and that those of us who have joined God's family in like faith will be reunited with him again.

Rambeck you were one of a kind buddy. Always the one to tell a joke and make you smile. My first memory with you was in 6th grade with Mikey Cheney we all went to the mall and you and Mikey went into the arcade and got amber Amanda and I those little birthstone rings. You had a big heart and in my head I can still hear the way you’d say mmaarryyy. Rest I’m peace my friend. Give my brother a big hug for me up there. Gone but never forgotten

John was a wonderful addition to our family. My daughters loved playing with him and even told me the other day that he read them a bedtime story. He'd go ice-skating and canoeing and was always happy.
I loved seeing John and Ashley together. We all had the warm fuzzies when it comes to them and we knew it would soon be more than just dating. We will miss him more than words can say. Ashley, we love you and here for you! Blessings and healing to the family.

John has been a member of our family, another brother to me for over 20 years. He was truly one of a kind and could make me laugh like nobody else could! He had the biggest heart and brightest smile! A loyal friend who was there for anyone, whenever they were in need. I know he is rejoicing with the Lord and that we will see him again one day. Until then, he will forever be remembered, forever missed, and forever loved.

We first met John when Ashley started to bring him to family gatherings and from day one we knew he had such a good and kind soul. As time went by we could see how happy Ashley and John were in their adventures they did together. John was always there to help and with a smile on his face, we will miss John and his smile so much. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ashley and his family.

With our deepest sympathy
