

After obtaining his GED, he graduated from Miami University with a degree in Engineering while working full time. He spent the majority of his career at Magnode Corporation, initially starting on the assembly line and rising through the ranks to retire as Vice President of Technical Services.
Johnie could often be found tending his flower gardens, meticulously planning his islands and taking the time to walk the yard and survey his work. He also enjoyed fishing, hosting parties for friends and family, and sitting out by the lake.
A lifelong Kentucky basketball fan, he grew up listening to their games on the radio while sitting in his dad’s lap. He made numerous trips to Rupp Arena, and cheered them on as he saw them win several national championships. If they did not win it all he would vow to never watch them again, only to be seen cheering them on the next season.
Johnie was a natural manager, able to find the most efficient way to complete a task and never shy to share his opinion. He was also gracious, hard working, and generous with a big heart.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Karen; Children, Terry, Greg (Marina), Johnie (Angela), and Michael (Amanda); Grandchildren Alex, Brandon, Elena, Katie, and Evelyn; siblings James Adams and Janice Layne; sister in law Ethel May Adams; sister in laws, Cindy Lincicome, Terry (Lennie) Strauser; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, along with his brothers, Ted Adams Jr. and Rex Landon Adams; and mother & father in law, Beatrice and Eugene Lincicome.
Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Woodside Cemetery Chapel, 1401 Woodside Blvd., Middletown, Ohio 45055, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Rev David Tackett to officiate. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
