The Bretz family came to the Shroyer Road Baptist Church "family" amid a time of change. It was an inspiring as well as healing time, and Ted and Norma Bretz set high standards for us. We wish Jonathan could have stayed with us longer, but his cheerful courage was typical of the "Bretz example." We are sure he resides in the arms of The Lord now and we pray that his family will take comfort and inspiration from that.

When the Bretz were in New Martinsville He lived close to us, and spent a lot of time with our Boys he would even walk over to our home and eat breakfast with boys and walk to bus stop with them. In our hearts we have considered him another son ever since. So glad he is no longer in pain. God Bless the Family

My condolences to the family. Jon spent some years here in Omaha at the Calvary Baptist Church where I worshipped and was a friend of his mother, Norma. His father was the pastor. God's blessings to all.

Jonny, I miss you already! All my memories are jumbling together right now. You fought so hard to stay with us. But now you can rest in the arms of Jesus. Reunited with your beloved Mom amd Dad. No more oxygen, no more chemo or radiation, no more glasses, no more hearing aid, no more shame. YOU ARE HEALED! Love you , Heather
