Joyce Evelyn Fiedler

February 1, 1936October 15, 2020

Fiedler, Joyce E. (Barlow), age 84 of Maineville, formerly of Dayton, passed away at home on October 15, 2020 in the presence of her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy and Charles Barlow, brother Chuck Barlow, and son-in-law Charles DeVaul.

Joyce is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Ron Fiedler, children: Pam Tatom (John), Debbie Snell (Clint), Lisa Curley (John), and Tim Fiedler (Sue), siblings: Mary Ann Martin (Dick), John Barlow (Louise), Jim Barlow (Ann), and Dottie Atkins, grandchildren: Jason Tatom, Erin Ehrhart (Tony), Cynthia Wise (Jason), Shawna Cyr (Lucas), Jordan Curley, Samantha and Rachel Fiedler, great-grandchildren: Ethan, Evan, Leo, Wyatt, and Jacob, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Joyce was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid collector of dolls and teapots. She was the love of Ron’s life. She was a best friend, a confidant, always made her children feel special and like they would always be her babies. If she used your middle name, you better run for the hills. One could only hope to be half the person that she was.

She made the best pancakes, prepared delicious meals for her family, filled the dinner table with as many people as possible and made us all laugh with her priceless one liners. Being with her family was when she was the happiest. She had 3 daughters and would refer to her son as “the one and only.”

She was warm, thoughtful and so loving. Any time spent with her left a lasting memory. She passed on so much love and wisdom that we are all grateful for.

Many weekends were spent having sleepovers with her grandchildren, and all of the family loved spending time together making memories at St. Mary’s Lake.

She made everyone feel welcome and we will cherish the conversations and quality time spent together.

I was very sorry to hear about Joyce's passing. My mother Rita had some very fond and happy memories of her childhood with her cousin Joyce, all her brothers and sisters, and of her Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Chas. Ron, I will keep all of you and yours in my prayers.

1st and foremost my condolences to Uncle Ron and his children for the loss of your wife and your mother. I know that Aunt Joyce has had a life filled with pain and suffering but is now free from all of that. I have many great memories of growing up and spending time in our old neighborhood with all of you. The loss of a loved one is very hard I experienced a little over 6 years ago with the loss of Rick. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers and in my thoughts. Love Terry
