

Dr. Juan Manuel Palomar died after an exhaustive battle with brain cancer on June 1, 2018 in Dayton, Ohio at the age of 69. Dr. Palomar is survived by his wife Nola (Bennett), Daughter, Nolita, step-children Max (Shelbi), Ashley and Alex Nunery (Justina); sisters Maria Teresa (Manuel Rico) and Carmen Palomar of Spain, nephew, Juan Manuel and niece, Maria Teresa. He is preceded in death by his parents Miguel Palomar and Maria Teresa Rodriguez and brother Miguel Palomar all of Spain. He was born on August 18, 1948 in Ugijar, Granada, Spain. He graduated from the University of Navarra in 1974 with a degree in Medicine. After moving to the US and finishing his residency in Urology at Tulane he entered into private practice at South Dayton Urological until taking a sabbatical to work on his second career as a winemaker at his winery Dominio Buenavista in Granada, Spain. Five years ago, he returned to urological surgery and joined Tri-County Urology in Dayton. Dr. Palomar was a kind gentleman with the highest integrity, generosity, and was a friend to everyone. He was passionate about his family, education, and making a positive influence in the world. Visitation is scheduled for June 10th at Tobias Funeral Home Kettering from 3-7pm and on June 11th at 5pm prior to Mass at 6pm at Incarnation Church in Centerville.
