Juanita Hall Battaglia

Juanita Hall Battaglia, lovingly known as Nita, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, in Oakwood, Ohio, at the age of 92. Born on March 24, 1934, in Dayton, Ohio, she lived a long and fulfilled life dedicated to her family, friends, and community.

Nita devoted over three decades of her career to Dayton Public Schools, where she served as an Early Childhood Program Facilitator. Her work left a lasting impact on countless young lives and reflected her deep commitment to education and nurturing the next generation.

Family was at the heart of Nita's life. She is survived by her sons Steven (Sherry) Hall, Timothy (Angela) Hall, and Christopher (Judy) Hall. She was a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Nathan Hall, Timothy C. Hall, Brandon Hall, Amanda Harrelson, Lindsay Brooks, Mary Renken, and Emily Hall. Her legacy continues through her 14 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy, in addition to her brother Everette (Joan) Donegan.

Nita was predeceased by her first husband Charles L. Hall and second husband August Battaglia; son, Jeffery D. Hall; brother, Donald (Patricia) Donegan, father, Frank Donegan; and mother, Emma Donegan. Though they are no longer with us, their memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.

Beyond her professional achievements and family devotion, Nita found joy in caring for relatives and friends. Her passion for shopping, buying fabric, and quilting brought vibrancy to her days. Known for her incredible smile and infectious laugh, she had a unique ability to bring people together. Her friends fondly described her as the “ultimate party planner,” a testament to her lively spirit and love for creating cherished memories.

Nita’s warmth touched everyone who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspire others to live with the same kindness and enthusiasm she shared so generously.

To honor Nita’s remarkable life, a visitation will be held on August 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home 5471 Far Hills Ave. A funeral service will commence following the visitation. A burial ceremony will proceed immediately after the funeral service at Medway Cemetery located at 11141 Lower Valley Pike, Medway, Ohio, 45341.
