

Juanita Jean Johnson Patrick, born in Mt. Sterling, KY Sept., 18, 1932, passed away November 14th, 2016 at Cypress Pointe Skilled Care, Englewood after a lengthy 20 year illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Patrick in 2006; mother, Nancy Mittie Price Johnson and father, William Issac Johnson; six sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela J. Eastman, of Clayton; son, Ronald D. Patrick of Englewood; granddaughter, Angela C. Carpenter; son-in-law, Brian Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Tyler J. Digman and Paris A Gruber; a great-great-grandson, Tanner D. Digman; one sister, Evelyn Colliver of Mt. Sterling, KY; and many nieces and nephews. Juanita retired from the Dayton Board of Education with 22 years in food service. The family would like to thank the compassionate staff and caregivers at Cypress Pointe Skilled Care and her many devoted medical providers who helped Juanita sustain a decent quality of life: Julie A. Larson, MD; Ramas Swany Bathini, MD; Ronald Warwar, MD, Robert Schriber, MD; Kimberly S. Hendricks, MD and especially Lawrence P. Goldstick, MD who could be relied upon in advocating for the care of Juanita at Good Samaritan and Miami Valley Hospital for the delivery of quality healthcare. Juanita lived by John Wesley Rules: do good for others, be honest, respectful and love your family, associates and neighbors unselfishly as God would do. Funeral service will be 12 (noon) Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Woodland Mausoleum Chapel, 114 Woodland Ave, Dayton, OH, 45409. Friends may call 11am – 12 Saturday at the Woodland Mausoleum Chapel.
