

TALBOTT, JUANITA G. (GULLEY) - age 91, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at Elmcroft Assisted Living in Knoxville, TN. She was a member of East Dayton Baptist Church for over forty-five years. Juanita was born on August 21, 1920 in Bulls Gap, Tennessee to W.C. Gulley and Etta E. Gulley. She graduated from Rogersville High School and moved to Dayton, Ohio to attend business college and work at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Juanita transferred to Honolulu, Hawaii and was married there to Charles E. Talbott, a data systems analyst with the Air Force. They moved to Dayton Oh, then to Rome, New York for several years and then to Beavercreek, Ohio where they eventually retired. Juanita was active in the Beavercreek Senior Center where she was an avid Mall Walker, and worked the front desk for membership activities. She loved gardening and decorating for church functions. Over the years she was active in PTAs, women's groups at her church, Civilian Women's Club, and square dance club. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Talbott; daughter, Linda VanZant; sister, Mildred I. Gulley; brother, W.C. Gulley Jr.; brother, W. Quentin Gulley. She is survived by her daughter, Judith M. Powell and husband Frank; grandchildren, Denise E. Bystrek and husband, David, Melissa K. Stewart and husband, John, Karla A. Stewart and husband, Russ, Scott M. Strawser, Jeffrey Van Zant; great grandchildren, Nicholas Bystrek, Eric Bystrek, Taylor Stewart, Klarise Stewart, Kellan Stewart, Olivia Strawser, Owen Strawser; brother, J.B. Gulley, of Morristown, Tennessee; sister, Maxine Towns, of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Pastor Gary Favor officiating. Entombment Valley View Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:30- 1:30 PM Wednesday.
