Jordan, Judith Kay, age 76, of North Carolina and formerly of Dayton passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2019, following a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Greenville, Kentucky, on June 30, 1943 to Charles Edward Pendley and Sarah Helen (Johnson) Pendley, who preceded her in death. Judy grew up in Dayton, the oldest of four children. She graduated from Wilbur Wright High School and Wright State University.
Judy worked in various offices at NCR, Ft. Clayton, Canal Zone, Dayton Public Library and with physicians in Kentucky. She was a quick study and an excellent writer.
Judy was adored by her family. She was an accomplished cook and an expert in gardening. She loved nursing struggling plants into blossoming wonders! An experienced traveler, Judy visited numerous countries and lived in five different states, as well as Panama City, Panama and Caracas, Venezuela.
Judy was married to Ray Jordan for the last 30 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Williford. She is also survived by her two children, Brett Williford and Holly Upright and three grandchildren, Ryan Williford, Mara Williford and Max Upright. Her extended family includes her sister Shary Maskel and husband, Lary; and two brothers, Chuck Pendley and wife, Valerie and Jim Pendley and wife, Hellen.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Interment will follow in Byron Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019, at the funeral home.
