Leckrone-Nishwitz, Judith A., age 85 of Kettering passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at her residence. Judie was born on June 2, 1941, in Dayton to the late George and Mildred Leckrone. She was also preceded in death by her son, Scott N. Boucher, her husband, Charles R. Nishwitz, her brothers, Donald Leckrone, George Nelson Leckrone, and Thomas Allan Leckrone. Judie is survived by her son, Richard (Lisa) Boucher; her grandsons Collin (Kiera) Boucher, Austin (Alexis) Boucher; four great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Margaret Leckrone; and her step-daughters, Jane Boucher, Barb Boucher, and Elaine (Steve) Thompson. According to Judie, her most important accomplishments were being a mom to Richard and Scott, and Grammy to Austin and Collin. Anyone who visited Judie at home could testify to the walls and reams of photos that she had celebrating her sons, grandsons, and great grandchildrens’ lives. She loved “her guys” as she affectionately called them. Through her life she had many names: Mom, Judie, G, Grammy, Sis and/or Sissy to her brothers, and Gigi to her great grandchildren, and lastly, “Big Jude.” Judie was a 1959 graduate of Fairmont High School. Judie was a co-founder and co-owner of Keyfinders from 1975 to 1983. Thereafter, she worked as a legal assistant for 23 years. Family was her most sacred and treasured blessing, and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429, with the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Burial David’s Cemetery.
