Mrs. Judith A. McCann

Judith A. McCann, age 71 of Yellow Springs, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bob Miller, father Carl Jones and a grandson, Dustin Fitzgerald. She is survived by her husband, Tom McCann and her mother, Elenora Jones (Leogrande). Her children also survive her: daughter, Lisa Thayer and husband Kevin; son, Stephen Miller and wife Debby and three stepchildren: Steven McCann and wife Emily, Brian McCann and wife Christine and Kerry Martin and husband Ryan, daughter Melody Fitzgerald and husband Michael and her grandchildren: Marissa, Austin, Sarah, Samantha, Michael, Greyson, Jonathan, Shannon and Brandon. A brother also survives her: Dave Jones and wife Cheryl and their daughter, Amy. Judy was a board member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Southwest Ohio for several years and was retired from the Beavercreek Public Schools after fifteen years of service. Friends may call at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME BEAVERCREEK Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall on Sunday, September 29 from 2 PM until 5 PM and on Monday, September 30 from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:30 AM. Internment will be in Byron Cemetery following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of the giver’s choice in Judy’s honor.
