Judith Ruth Smith

SMITH, Judith Ruth, age 67 of Kettering, OH (formerly of Onsted & Brooklyn, MI) passed away February 27, 2015. She was born March 7, 1947 in Wyandotte, MI. She was a graduate of Onsted High School. Judy was a waitress when she met her love and husband, Dennis. She was an Avon Lady and full time homemaker. Judy was a proud member of the Eagles, Fajita Festival of Dayton, Special Wish Foundation of Dayton, and many other charitable organizations. She loved spending time around Sand Lake and Wamplers Lake and with family, friends, and her grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Martin of Westland, MI, mother, Ruth (Bird) Martin of Plymouth, MI, and a daughter, Kelly (Smith) Ramus of Oakwood, OH. She is survived by a son, Jeff Smith (Sandy) of LaGrange, KY, son-in-law, John Ramus of Oakwood, OH, daughter, Melissa (Smith) Palson (Jim) of Brownstown Township, MI, brother, Larry Martin (Ruthie) of Livonia, MI, a sister, Carolyn Miller (Eldon) of Mishawaka, IN, brother, Bob Martin (Suzie) of Garden City, MI, grandchildren, Tyler, Seth, Breana, Ryan, Lindsey, and Rebecca, and many aunts, nieces, nephews, sister and brother-in-laws. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Road, Dayton, OH 45429, Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 5:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm.
