Juliane K Kraus

Kraus, Juliane K., age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Yugoslavia, moved to Germany then spent over 55 years in Dayton, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, Katherina and Jakob and grand-daughter, Missy. She is survived by 6 children; Anna Werner (Tom), Karin Mullen (Bob), Ursula Carey, Arnold Kraus (Sandy), Walter Kraus (Gail), Christine Faris (Ray), 2 sisters; Anna Riva and Eva Mastel of Canada, Brother: Jakob Manes of Canada, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Juliane lived a full life devoted to raising her six children. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who called her “Oma”. She especially enjoyed the time spent teaching several of them to cook. Her happiest moments were spent in her garden and flowerbeds, especially her rosebushes. She loved to polka and looked forward to teaching others. She was a kind friend to all she met and made a difference in many lives. She will be dearly missed by all the hearts she touched. Special thanks to the aides and nurses at Hospice of Dayton for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will be held at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. on Tuesday, May 26 at 12:30 PM. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of the funeral. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Juliane to Hospice of Dayton.
