Wagner, while attending Purdue University. She is survived by her seven children: Michael (Olive), Edward Jr. (Janet), Elizabeth Smith (Phil), Robert, John (Jan), Douglas (Kathy), and Jane Frick (Bryan), 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Ed, of 60 years, and her two brothers. Katie was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at Purdue, the Dayton Women’s Club, Miami Valley Golf Club, Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church, and most recently Incarnation Catholic Church. She had a great love for children. When she was not caring for them she enjoyed golf, bowling, bridge, Chinese checkers, orchestra, and theater. She was a gracious hostess and her homemade fresh fruit pies were a favorite with her children. At her husband’s retirement party, Ed said that Katie had contributed a lot to his success in business. She was his lucky charm in life except when it came to fishing, where much to his chagrin, she always caught more and bigger fish.
