Kay Eileen Smith, age 83, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Kay was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late, Carroll and Florence Williams. She is also preceded in death by her husband John Smith and sister Shirley (Tom) Purkey. Kay is survived by her daughter Karen (Michael) Witt and son Alan (Bree Sharp) Smith, three grandchildren: Ashley (Ian) Cauley, Alyssa Dennis, Corey Smith and three step-grandchildren: Elliot Witt, Andrew Witt, and Mary Sharp, brother-in-law Tom Purkey, sisters-in-law Joey Thiele, Marti Starick, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Kay will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tobias Funeral Home, 3970 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Tobias Funeral Home with Danny Jordan officiating.
Kay will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 8200 W. National Rd., New Carlisle, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kay's memory may be made to Autism Society NWPA, 3308 State Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16508 US; American Cancer Society; and American Heart Association.
