Kay Westendorf, 79, of Sarasota, Florida, was called home to be with the Lord on the afternoon of August 30, 2020, with her sister Ruth at her side. Kay was born in Allais, Kentucky and passed away in Centerville, Ohio.
She is survived by her husband Bill Westendorf, sister Ruth Porter, nephew and wife Jack Douglas Jr and Laurie Baird, niece and husband Tracy and Dan Boyles, step-sons Bill Westendorf, Bob and wife Natalie Westendorf, and Jim and wife Holly Westendorf, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great nephews and niece.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Kelly Lynn Coyle, parents Leonard and Cohen Brashear, and sister Libby Baird.
Kay was blessed with many dear and special friends, including her Church of the Redeemer sisters, beloved neighbors, ExxonMobil friends, and friends from Bill’s softball-playing days.
Kay loved to travel, read, and to watch birds from her lanai.
