What a sweet and gentle soul she was. Always pleasant and encouraging and she took a genuine interest in my life. I didn’t get to see her as much as I liked, but isn’t that the way life goes. Hugs to all the family.

I'm still in shock. I've lost my rock. My mom was more than just my mom. She was my best friend, advisor, mentor and confidant. She was, well, my everything. She worked tirelessly and selflessly for her family and the business she and my dad had made. I'm so grateful to have been able to return to Dayton after nearly twenty years and build a stronger relationship with her for the past 8 and a half years. So many precious memories were made. So many memories that we had planned to make up to the last day we were together. Mom, I miss you so much! I pray our family finds the strength to continue on without you.

The things I will miss the most is hearing her call me her “golden girl” and her hugs. Everytime we came to her house she would always ask “how’s my golden girl” and her hugs made you feel so loved. 💕

My best friend, grandmother you were so many things and words can’t describe how lucky I was to have you in my life. The best memories I’ll ever have is you video recording our basketball games in HHYBA when I was little. After every game then you and papaw would take us to McDonald’s play land then go back to the house make your famous “peanut butter fudge” and then re watch the game you just filmed !! Those moments in my life were priceless. Until we meet again Mammaw I love you with all my heart forever and always. I know I have your spirit always around me. Your in no more pain and I’m so thankful for that. Rest in piece my Cadillac queen. I’ll always keep your legacy going along with the rest of the family. We were so lucky and blessed.

Where do I even begin! Kennedith was more of a grandma to me in the last 8 1/2 years then anyone else. I remember the first time I met her was when we showed her the ultrasound of her first great grandchild and she was so happy for us regardless of the situation. She took me in as her granddaughter no matter what and I knew I could always go to her for some positivity. My son adored his Mamaw from day one and I will continue to keep her spirit alive through him! She will never be forgotten! I hope she’s up there gardening away with no more worries in the world in the sunshine just how she liked it!

Mrs. Turner was a great lady. We shared stories about Chateau Idlewild/Burkhardt property we purchased from them. And always enjoyed their visits.
