

Elder, Kirk H. age 74, passed away at the Dayton VA Hospice on Wednesday March 11, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Elmyra Elder. He is survived by his wife Grace, his daughter April (Scott) Wheelock, his son Chris (Shelly) Elder, his granddaughters Emily Wheelock, Raegan and Rylin Elder, and his stepson Matt Le Veck.
He loved his wife and children. He enjoyed fishing, gun collecting, cars, watching westerns and war movies, art, and his career in architecture.
After serving in the army in Vietnam, he graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Architecture. He practiced his trade in the Dayton area until retiring about eight years ago when health issues interfered. He was very active with his children ‘s participation in sports when they were young. He coached their soccer, football, and softball teams. He helped with BMX bicycling when the kids were participating. He participated in and led the Eager Beaver program as well. He was on the Greene County Metropolitan Housing board for several years and the Greene County Board of Appeals until just recently.
A private funeral will be held at Dayton National Cemetery.
