Kyle John Roberts

Kyle John Roberts age 23, passed away unexpectantly on July 9, 2026. Kyle was a son, brother, and friend who brought warmth, laughter, and a wonderful smile to everyone he touched in his life. He was a graduate of Centerville High School class of 2021. He was a scholar athlete with the Centerville Elks football program and an Elk Iron Award recipient. He graduated as a certified welder from the Hobart Institute of Welding in 2022. Kyle was employed at Combined Technologies in Dayton, as a master welder fabricator. He enjoyed watching the Bengals on Sundays as well as playing golf at his favorite destination, Nemacolin Resort. He loved sunrises and sunsets and had a profound enjoyment of looking at the stars and planets through his telescope. He recently returned with his cherished family from the Outer Banks, where he got up early at 5am every day to run and catch the sunrise. He had a special bond with his football brothers and would play Xbox with them into the wee hours of the morning. He had a passion for fitness after his football playing days. He worked out regularly at Club 51 fitness and had a special bond with several members, especially his brother, Lee. If you saw Kyle away from work and the gym, he would dress impeccably and smell good from his unbelievable collection of colognes. Kyle enjoyed socializing and being a part of Thursday night trivia at Meridien in Centerville, where he enjoyed spending time with his friends and kept the bartender busy filling his water glass. Kyle continued in his giving ways after his passing as a full organ donor to try to help as many people as he could. Kyle had a strong love for God and his country, and he and his family would Zoom every Sunday with the Wheelwright Community Church in Kentucky to further his strong Christian faith.

Kyle is survived by his parents, Ron and Amy and his brother Lee (Anna). Kyle is also survived by his grandparents, John and Sonia Dresher, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Richard and Anna Roberts, as well as his beloved boxer, Rocky.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 16 at Tobias Funeral Home - Far Hills Chapel from 5-8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Kettering at 10:30am on Friday, July 17. Immediately following Mass, his final resting place will be located at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kyle’s name to the Thin Blue Line Foundation.
