

SIDDALL, L. Elaine, was born in Dayton, Ohio, on March 18th, 1920 and passed away on October 24th, 2011, after a brief illness at the age of 91. Elaine graduated from Dayton’s Fairview High School in 1938. After high school she worked for McCall’s Magazine in Dayton. She married her 8th grade through high school sweetheart, Homer William Siddall in 1942 whom she lived with for 58 years in Kettering, Ohio until December of 1999, when he passed. They had three children together, Judith Elaine Everhart, Debra Jo Bellomy and Corey William Siddall. After the death of her husband, Elaine lived alone in Kettering for several years until she joined her daughter, Debbie and her husband David, who cared for her over the last three years in Orange, California, though she maintained her home and visited it annually. During World War II Elaine worked for the war effort in Texas when her husband was stationed there and received commendation for her efforts. Elaine was an active member of Beta Chi charitable sorority for over forty years and an active member of Southern Hills United Methodist Church where she worked for many worthy causes. Elaine and her husband Homer were members of the Square D, Square Dancing Club and also participated in Round Dancing and Clogging clubs. They loved to travel and visited all of the US states except Alaska as well as many European Countries, Canada and Mexico. Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Elaine is survived by her deceased daughter Judith’s two children, Zachariah Smith and Saundra Baughman, her surviving daughter Debbie and and son in law David Bellomy and their seven children, Michael Bellomy, Cindy Bellomy, Heather Bellomy, Laura Smart, Scott Bellomy, Joseph Bellomy and Kelly Bellomy, her surviving son Corey and daughter in law Angela Siddall, and their daughters Amy Phillips and Emily Turner. Also surviving Elaine are her 15 great grandchildren and her nieces Taren Neth and Gaylene Bowman. The Visitation and Funeral will be held at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLE CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45429. The Visitation will be Thursday, Nov 10th, from 5-8pm. Funeral will be held on Friday, November 11th, at 10am. Rev. Bobbie Predmore officiating. Interment Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
