Jeanette recovered from polio as a child and through that experience she discovered a love for caring for others. After graduating from high school she attended St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Layfette, Indiana. She graduated salutatorian of her class.
She spent the beginning of her nursing career continuing her education. First earning a Bachelor’s degree from St. Frances in Fort Wayne and then earning her Master’s degree in Business Health Administration from the University of Michigan. She had a lengthy career that spanned from surgical nursing to quality improvement. She had a love of antiques, auctions, garage sales, and the hunt for a good bargain. She enjoyed gardening and feeding her humming birds. Her real passion came in the mothering of her two daughters and being a grandmother to her grandchildren. She will be forever missed. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton, her nurses and caretakers; Jennifer, Bessie, Brenda, Jane, Faith and Debbie. Your care and concern for our not only but for our whole family has been very much appreciated. At this time there will be no services.
