Born on June 22, 1968 in Piqua Ohio. Leanne graduated from Covington High School Class of ’86. She attended Toledo University and graduated with a Bachelors of Arts from Wright State University. She went onto care for others at Maria Joseph Nursing Center, Trinity Nursing Home in Beavercreek, Crossroads Hospice, Village at the Greene, and the Greene County Council on Aging.
Leanne is survived by her husband of 30 years Fred M. Maury, her children Cody M. Maury, Rachel M. (Spencer Cochran) Maury, Heather N. (Breyden) Boyles and Sarah L. Maury, parents Terry and Jane Byers, siblings Cindy (Tim) Angle and Jason (Robin) Byers, and her many nieces and nephews that she always made an effort to be a part of their lives and celebrate important moments with them.
Leanne was Grace herself. Whether through her career as a social worker or her tireless devotion to family and community. She approached every single day with curiosity, deep empathy, and an infectious sense of humor. She was known above all for her pure kindness to any person she had ever known and her uncanny ability to make strangers feel like lifelong friends. Leanne taught us that attention is the truest form of love, and she gave it unconditionally.
A celebration of Leanne’s life will be held on Saturday October 10. Visitation 11 am-1 pm with a service at 1 pm at the Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. All who loved her are welcome to attend and share a story, shed a tear, or smile in her honor.
