

Busarow, Linda, passed away May 27, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born November 3, 1958 in Boston, Massachusetts. She is preceded in death by her father Fred Cressman. She is survived by her loving husband Kevin and mother Gladys Cressman of Bernardsville, New Jersey. She is also survived by her two sons, Jonathan and David; two sisters, Carole Dixon of Powell, Ohio and Mona Fortunato of Chester, New Jersey. Linda received her B.M. (Music Education) from Wittenberg University, her M.M. (Voice) from the University of Michigan, and her D.M.A (Conducting) from The Ohio State University. During her career Linda served as Supervisor of Music for Fairborn City Schools, Director of Music Ministry at Peace Lutheran Church in Beavercreek and was an Adjunct Professor of Choral Music and Voice at Wittenberg University. She held numerous leadership positions in the ACDA (American Choral Directors Association) and OCDA (Ohio Choral Directors Association). Her most recent position was Assistant Professor of Music and Director of the Women's Choir at Xavier University in Cincinnati. Throughout her career she was a respected educator and beloved confidant to many students and colleagues. A memorial service will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 3530 Dayton- Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432 on June 11th at 2:00pm, with Pastors Bob Brown and Emlyn Ott officiating. A visitation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Miami Valley School in Linda’s name.
