

Linda Lee (Grow) Siekman, age 81, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Danville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully and joined her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Linda lived her life as a shining example of faith, compassion, and selflessness. Linda was born in Danville, Kentucky, on November 1, 1943, to Charles Benson Grow and Hallene (Douglas) Grow, who were born in Callaway County, Missouri.
An artist, fashion illustrator, historian, and art teacher, Linda earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 1967. She continued her studies in fashion design and illustration, along with commercial art at the Al Gable School of Advertising and Design in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following graduation on August 5, 1967, she married John Allen Siekman from Hebron, Kentucky, her college sweetheart. Linda’s career began as a fashion illustrator with Wren’s Department Store and Elder Beerman’s. When her children were growing up, Linda continued with her advertising career and she was an active member of the Fairborn (Ohio) Art Association, where she served as a teacher, and served on the board, along with co-chairing the annual Fall Art Festivals, and chairing the annual Wine and Cheese Juried Art Shows. Linda also participated in many juried art shows in various states along with having her art displayed in various galleries in Ohio and Kentucky. After her children were grown, she enjoyed working as a bridal consultant. Since she was also a cancer survivor, Linda enjoyed ministering to other women who were going through ovarian and breast cancers.
Linda’s greatest blessing was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hallene Grow, and her loving husband, John Siekman. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Carolyn (John) Crutchfield and brother Donald Douglas (Jesse) Fyfe. She is survived by her beautiful children: Emily (Gregory) Merkle of Hebron, Kentucky, and Nancy (Steven) Huff of Beavercreek, Ohio. She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren: Logan Merkle, Liam Merkle, Chloe (Holten) Handel, Grace Elizabeth (Moises) Monroy, Gabriel Huff, Emmaliese Huff, and John Allen Huff. Linda is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews, along with dear friends. Her children and extended family were the greatest blessings of her life, and they made her heart soar with joy.
Linda was also a member of the Rona Community Church in Fairborn, Ohio for many years. Her family wants to extend their forever gratefulness to the wonderful team at the Trinity Community at Beavercreek, Hospice of Dayton, Pastor Dr. James Smith, and the Rona Community Church. We are forever grateful for their care and compassion for Linda.
A visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Tobias Funeral Home in Beavercreek, Ohio, with Pastor Dr. James Smith officiating a service honoring and celebrating Linda’s life following the visitation at 2:00pm. On Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Sand Run Cemetery in Hebron, Kentucky, a burial service will be held at 11:00am. Her family has asked for memorial donations instead of flowers be sent to Hospice of Dayton, Ohio, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
