

Williams Jr., Lindberg, age 53, passed away June 3, 2015. Major Williams proudly served in the USAF retiring in 2004 with 20 years of service to his country, earning an AF Commendation Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, a Meritorious Service Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters and a Bronze Star. Following his military career, he was Chief of Security for various companies including American Water, Cornerstone Project and Lexis Nexis. He was a graduate of Conway High School & North Carolina A&T University where he was a member of the Arnold Air Society. His many interests included chess, debate, movies, bursting into song, collecting music, cooking, entertaining and going for 30+ mile bike rides with his friend Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bessie Virginia and Lindberg Williams. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Burke-Williams; daughters, Keta Elena Virginia Burke-Williams and Kaja Elise Burke-Williams; sister, Linda (Norman) Cook; brothers, Charles Williams and Richard (Lisa) Williams; mother and father-in-law, Marjorie and Ludlow Burke; sisters-in-law, Alison Burke and Claudia (Ron Scott) Burke; brother-in-law, Douglas (Ann Marie) Burke; and nieces: Ariell Cook, Denise Williams, Richlyn Williams, Faith Greene, Kimmy Roschewski , Zina Lu Burke-Scott, Halla Rae Burke-Scott, Shakira Chin; nephews: Kenneth L.Worthy, Richard Williams Jr., Charles Williams Jr., Aaron Miller, Isaac Miller, Brandon Burke, Xavier Burke-Scott; aunts Florabel Davis, Cora Wright, Janie Mae Friday, and Francine Bolden; uncle Payton Bolden and many cousins. Visitation will be Thursday June 18th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Funeral services will be Friday June 19th at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Dayton National Cemetery with military honors. Memorial contributions in honor of Lindberg Williams Jr. may be made to The Miami Valley School. Donations can be made to support the immersion experiences of students on financial aid at The Miami Valley School so that they can better enjoy the complete school experience.
