Lisa Mays

MAYS, Lisa, age 52 of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 after a hard fought battle with cancer. We take comfort knowing she’ll be joyfully greeted by her mother in heaven. Lisa will be remembered most for always putting others’ needs before her own. Lisa was a young, beautiful and spiritual woman who loved lavender, hummingbirds, the Sound of Music, Yahtzee, sipping hot tea, making mittens from old sweaters, finding shark teeth on the beach and family vacations at Norris Lake. More than anything, she loved her three babies and loving husband of 26 years. Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Koester Daily. She is survived by her husband, Steven M. Mays; son, Drew Mays; daughters, Emma and Grace Mays; father, Jerry Daily; sisters, Debbie Daily Stelzer and Lori Daily Brunsky; brother, Jerry Michael Daily; and aunt, Alberta Koester, all of Dayton, OH. There will be a gathering of friends from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Dayton, OH 45429. Burial was private. A heartfelt thank you to family and friends for cooking, cleaning and caring for Lisa in the final months and providing more love and support than anyone could wish for.
