Lucille Maxine Virgin, age 95 of Dayton passed away at Miami Valley Hospital on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband V. Wayne Virgin in 1982; parents, Allie and Ida Pelfrey; and 7 siblings. Lucille is survived by her daughters, Waynette Virgin of Dayton and Jeanne Virgin of Dayton; sister-in-law, Norma Pelfrey; special nephews, Paul (Clara) Pelfrey of Wheelersburg, OH, Kenneth (Lynne) Stephens, of Xenia, and Eric (Viola) Pelfrey, of WA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. She dearly loved to work in her flower garden and did so until her 95th birthday. She had also been a talented craftsperson, practicing arts such as Swedish embroidery, macrame’, ceramics, cake decorating and crocheting. “Lucille was the most caring, generous, loving, unselfish person we have ever known and we were truly blessed to have her as our mother.” A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 2 PM at Tobias Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, with Pastor Deb Holder officiating. Family will receive friends from 1 PM until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service in Spring Valley Cemetery.
