M. Theresa Falter

FALTER, M. Theresa, age 89 of Beavercreek passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Thomas Falter, parents Charles and Rose Eppensteiner, and sisters Elizabeth Wells and Anna Mary Harris. She is survived by her children Stephen Falter, Diane Falter Miller and her husband Frederick Miller, Donald Falter and his wife Sue Noe Falter, Marianne Falter, and Michael Falter, grandchildren Kristen Miller Nathe and her husband Kyle Nathe, Kyle Miller, Megan Falter Meyer and her husband Jeff Meyer and Blake Falter, and brother Charles Eppensteiner. Theresa’s sons were Eagle Scouts and her daughters were active in scouting receiving the Marian Award. She was a member of the Beavercreek Women’s Hall of Fame. She worked on the Boy Scout Troop 85 Committee and with Tecumseh Council’s Catholic Committee on Scouting as a religious emblems counselor. For her work in the spiritual aspects of the scouts, she was awarded the “Fleur de Leis” honor by the Archdioceses of Cincinnati and the “Saint George” award by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting. She served as past president of the Green Valley Garden Club, past president of the Dayton Knights of Columbus Council 500 Women’s Auxiliary, was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of Beavercreek V.F.W. Post 8312 where she helped with the post’s monthly bingo gatherings for patients at the Dayton V.A. Medical Center. She was an active member of St Luke Catholic Church and served as a minister of communion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 N. Fairfield Rd. at 10:00 am on Monday, January 5, 2014. Fr. Terry Schneider celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 4, 2014.
