Marcia Jean Brown

Age 85, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away while visiting family in Maryland, on May 20, 2016. Jeannie was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 19, 1930. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Mary Keney, her sister, Lois Breisch and the love of her life, her husband of 56 years, Kenneth R. Brown Sr.

Jeannie is survived by her children; Kenneth R. Brown, Jr (Gail) of Maryland, Russell K. Brown (Linda) of Centerville, Sherrie A. Waddell (Steve) of Bellbrook and Sandy M. Keffer (Bob) of West Carrollton. She is survived by six grandchildren: Kenneth R. Brown, III (fiance’ Kate), Daniel J. Brown (Julie), Andrew J “AJ” Brown (Amanda Murphy), Courtney E. Sites (Ryan), David E. Waddell (Erin Bunn), Brent Waddell. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Miss Kate Natalie Waddell and Steven Ray.

Jeannie retired from the University of Dayton and was an avid UD Flyer basketball fan and bridge player. She loved Notre Dame football. Jeannie was happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends.

Her family will receive friends at the Tobias Funeral Home-Far Hills Chapel 5471 Far Hills Ave at Rahn Rd on Thursday May 26, 2016 from 4-7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Friday May 27, 2016 at the Church of the Incarnation with Father Stretch Mierenfeld as celebrant. Jeannie was loved by family and friends, who will miss her ever present smile. She always said that flowers should be sent to the living, so in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
