Margaret June Fries. Born December 5, 1932, Portageville, Missouri. Died May 25, 2022, Dayton, Ohio. After graduating from Wardell High School, June attended Drury College, in Springfield, MO, then worked as a secretary until the late 1960s. June was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward, with whom she owned and operated the Southern Air Restaurant in Wentzville, MO throughout the 1970s. After retirement, she found community at Dardenne Presbyterian Church, for a time serving as a deacon. Following her husband’s death, she moved to Ohio to be near her daughter. She will be missed. June is survived by her loving daughter and step-daughter, Jamie Fries and Ann Fries, cherished nephews Terry Pyland (whom she always called, “Tunk.”), Rodney “Rocky” Ring, Harold Bivins, and Lemuel Bivins, and much-adored dog, Marty Fries.
