

Daniel, Marilyn J. “Lyn”, age 85, of Riverside, OH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at the Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Dayton, OH on April 16, 1932 to Charles Lewis and Alma Elizabeth (Evans) Cluxton, who preceded her in death. Lyn was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Edward J. Daniel, her beloved daughter, Mary Ann Slezak and her brother, Charles Neil Cluxton. She is survived by her beloved daughters and their spouses, Vicki (Carol Schaaf) Daniel, Sue (Joe) DeTore, Julie (Bob) Sexton; devoted grandchildren, Danielle (J. Kate Bridger) and Nicholas (Mary Dudley) DeTore, Christina (Patrick) Himmelberg and Robert Sexton; great- grandchildren, Logan and Sage DeTore, Dean and Natalie Himmelberg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially her wonderful neighbors on Kevin Drive. Lyn was a longtime member of St. Helen Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Stivers High School and also attended Sinclair Community College and Wright State University. She was a longtime teacher’s assistant with the Beavercreek Public School System serving at Parkwood Elementary School. Prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen Catholic Church, with Father Paul Gebhardt, her Godson as celebrant. Interment will be in Valley View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice of Dayton.
