Marilyn Jane Stewart, 91, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on March 14, 2018. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God sustained her during her life. She was blessed to share in the fellowship of believers throughout the Miami Valley. Marilyn was involved with WMC, supporting missionaries for over 65 years. Marilyn was born to the late Marion and Esther McKay, in Dayton, Ohio in November 1926. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1944 and attended Whittier and Bob Jones Colleges. Marilyn was blessed with a large and loving family. She married the late Wallace Stewart and raised four children with patience, humor, and godly discipline. Marilyn is survived by her two younger brothers, Robert McKay, DDS and John McKay, Th.D., children: Kathy McGuire, Mark (Tina), Sue (Leonel) Moran, and Cindy (Rich) Wroughton, 11 grandchildren: Amy (Adam) Hazlett, Laura Wroughton, Ana (Waldyr) Carrion, Jenny Wroughton, Benjamin (Megan) Moran, Angela Stewart, Ryan (Emma) Wroughton, Catherine (Brian) Yates, Raquel Moran, Carrie Castillo, Rachel (Shon) Brown and 12 great-grandchildren: Kaylee Stewart, Andrew, Joshua, Benjamin, and Daniel Hazlett, Gabriel and Elizabeth Carrion, Emily and Mark Moran, William and Titus Yates, Natalie Brown and Maddie, and several nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law. She will be greatly missed by all family members. A Memorial Service at Tobias Funeral Home on Far Hills Avenue is scheduled for noon on Saturday, March 24, with visitation from 10 am - 12 pm. Dr. Greg Ryerson will officiate the celebration of Marilyn’s life. Interment at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery will follow. Flowers and condolences are gladly accepted.
