Marjorie A. McGrew

McGrew, Marjorie A. (Heet), age 88, of Kettering, OH passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Hillsprings Health Care Center in Springboro, OH. She was born in Dayton, OH on June 27, 1924 to John and Florence (Kunk) Heet, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, John W. McGrew, Sr. in November of 1987 and six brothers and sisters. Marjorie is survived by her three children, Mary Dunwoodie, of Kettering, OH, John W., Jr. and wife, Debra McGrew, of Kettering, OH , Gary McGrew and his fiancée, Vicki, of Dayton, OH. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and friends. Marjorie was a member of The Church of the Ascension and was a Branch Manager in the circulation department of the Dayton Daily News for over 20 years. For over 30 years she served as an election poll worker and was a cake baker and decorator having her own small business. Marjorie was also an avid crafter and an Avon distributer. Prayers will be said 9:45 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Boulevard. Interment will follow the mass in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive the family at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013.
