Marjorie C Schulte

October 27, 1930February 4, 2019

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Marcellus and Charlotte “Gom” Wassenich; and by two children, Jean Schulte and Jack Schulte. She is survived by daughters, Joanne (Brad) Arnott and Judy (Chip) Bonny; sons, Jim (Kimberly) Schulte and Jeff (Brenda) Schulte; 34 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Margie, has spent her entire life in Dayton. Graduated from Stivers HS, Class of 1948. She raised her 6 children mostly on her own and stayed very active with them in and through all their activities. If she wasn’t coaching their athletic teams, then she was involved in the School Booster Clubs and always had an active part even if it was her ever presence in the stands cheering them on. She was well known and well loved by not only her family, but all of their friends knew her as their second Mom. Her family was everything to her and there was nothing she loved more than to be surrounded by them and she made each one feel special. She loved well and was loved much. Her faith was grounded in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and she knew He helped her all through life in many difficult circumstances. Visitation will be Sunday, February 10th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave.. A celebration of Margie’s life will follow visitation beginning at 5:00. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 11th at 10:00 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. I know there are no words for your loss...but know that Mrs. Schulte was an amazing woman..kind to all..friend to all! She sat in the stands with my mom during games for Jim & Jack. She came to most all softball games for Joanne..she cherished her children and was an amazing mom. She leaves an awesome legacy of faith and love!

I think she already has wings!

Marge, (my second mom) was a Absolutely WONDERFUL and INCREDIBLE lady !! She always treated me (Paul) like a son and had Grace and Love beyond measure !! I had met her and her daughter Jean at the New Hope Church in Miamisburg, Ohio. She never knew a stranger and loved all people. My mother had passed away many years ago, and over the course of time she became my second mom. When it came time for me to marry Kris, she was my mother at the wedding and was a very special part of it !! My heart is very sad to know she is gone, but I KNOW she would tell me not to cry, but to celebrate, as she is now, with absolutely NO DOUBT, with JESUS !! We love you mom, and you will forever live in our hearts !! Love, Paul & Kris

My husband, Glen Hoskins, and I lived across the street from Mrs. Schulte for four brief, wonderful years. She made us feel so welcome and as if we were a part of the neighborhood. I remember waking up the first morning after a measurable snowfall to hear a snow blower running. We looked out to see the tiny Mrs. Schulte clearing our drive! We ran out to ask her to stop (she was in her 80's and we were in our 40's!) She had it cleared before we could get dressed! She was a wonderful neighbor and a lovely, strong woman. We're honored to have known her.

Our family is saddened to hear about Marjie's passing. But, as Christians, it is so bittersweet ~ bitter for her family but sweetly rejoicing in heaven's gain. What precious memories we have of Marjie, Jean, Jack & Gom. Can't help but praise the LORD for the reunion that happened at the Throne. Love & prayers to you all.

Marjorie ... How wonderful she is and how delighting to imagine a reunion with our also beloved Jean. Two women, so beautiful. The tenderness she showed to EVERYBODY is just one of the many ways she showed the love of Jesus to everyone. Her joyfulness, generosity, laughter and enthusiasm for life, family and her savior Jesus make her a most beautiful sister in Christ, She will be greatly missed by so many and is dear to the hearts of Barry, Marcy and David Caldwell. Until we see her again, our love and prayers go to her family and many, like us, filled with grief and joy today.
