Martha Joyce Mote

July 21, 1922November 9, 2012

MOTE, (Anderson) Martha J. age 90, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012, a life long member of Christ United Methodist Church of Dayton, Ohio. She was born July 21, 1922 in Uhrichsville, Ohio to the late Ralph and Leota Anderson. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Anderson and Shirley Clements; and a brother, Ed Anderson. Martha is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Gary Miller and Barbara and Brent Wiles; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Adam) Woeste, Heather (Travis) Waller, Lauren Wiles, and Katherine Wiles; Her brother-in-law, Don Clements; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mim Ungard. Martha was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy and retired from General Motors on August 1, 1980 after 31 years with Delco Air Conditioning. She was a 60 plus year member of Sigma Beta Inc. Sorority, Alpha Gamma Chapter. She cherished most her time spent with family and friends, traveling, and playing cards. Many thanks to Bethany Lutheran Village rehab and assisted living and The Hospice of Dayton. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd. Monday, November 12, 2012, from 6 to 8 pm and on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 10-11am followed by funeral service 11 am. Pastor Alan Carroll officiating. Burial will be at David’s Cemetery. Dear Barb And Joyce:
Cindy Eisen wanted you to know how sorry she is unable to attend your Mom' s service. She is in Charleston S.C. this week. My parents can not attend as my mom is bedfast. We send our deepest sympathy and prayers. Your Mom was such a strong woman.
