Mary Louise Ely Chaney

Chaney, Mary Louise, age 92, passed away Thursday March 19, 2015. Mary was a secretary for the Kettering Board of Education for 32 years. She sang in the choir in Greenmont Oak Park Community Church and worked as a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and William Ely; her husband, Richard Chaney; daughter, Judy Hirschman; sister, Dolores Holland; and grandchildren, Matthew David Chaney and Peter Asher Chaney. She is survived by sons, Richard Chaney, Robert Chaney, and John “Mitch” (Barbara) Chaney; sister, Nancy Settle; grandchildren, Christine (Craig) Cheevers, Jennifer (Joe) Pensansky, Robert (Sephora) Chaney, Shayne (Monica) Chaney and Ryan Chaney; nephew, Mark Butler; and by nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday (Today) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Road. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
