Mary Margaret (Tubaugh) Evanoo age 56 of Xenia, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at her residence. She was born and raised in Ravenna, Ohio to Betty and Carl Tubaugh, December 10, 1966. While attending the Ravenna schools she met Michael Scott Evanoo on a blind date. They were married on December 24 when Michael returned home on leave from the USAF. Mary accompanied Michael back to Denver, CO (Lowry AFB) for Technical School where they resided for approximately one year. They were then assigned to Blytheville, AR (Blytheville AFB) where their first son was born, Michael Richard Evanoo. The three were then transferred to RAF Upper Heyford, England where they resided for approximately four years, then to Wright Patterson for another two years and onto Cheyenne, WY (FE Warren AFB) where their second son Nicholas Scott Evanoo was born, and where they resided until their return to Ohio after leaving the Air Force. Their second son Nicholas Scott married Amy Bangerter and had their first grandson, Haiden Scott who was born April 13, 2019. Mary cared for Haiden during work hours for Nicolas and Amy and Haiden was her joy. Haiden affectionately refers to her as "Ganny" and she would spend many hours teaching him and playing with him each weekday. Mary was most proud of her role as Homemaker and Caregiver to her family but also worked outside the home in customer service at Ponderosa and Subway, in retail at WalMart, in client care as a Bus Aid for Greene CATS (through First Transit), and as a Nurse's Aid for Personal Touch. She enjoyed travel and new experiences and aside from her travels with her husband in the Air Force she also traveled with her husband to Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and Buzios), Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico, Pelee Island Ontario and in the US to El Paso Texas, Columbus and Madison Wisconsin, and Dearborn, and the UP of Michigan. Mary is preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law, John Richard Evanoo, but is survived by her beloved mother-in-law Rita Evanoo. She had five siblings but only one currently surviving sister, Linda Lambert (Jacobs). The other siblings-David Jacobs, Allen Jacobs, Betty Defer (Jacobs) and Georgetta Miller (Jacobs) preceded Mary in death. Mary has multiple cousins, second cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and other family members and friends that love her very much. Mary loved to laugh and enjoy life to its fullest. She made friends with everyone and made everything and everyone better that she touched. This was written by one of her loved ones to honor her: She turned a young marriage into a life-long love of over 40 years. She turned two children and a husband into a loving and caring family. She turned a house into a warm and inviting home. She turned flowers into many lovely gardens. She will now turn her wings from God into a watchful and caring angel for us all.
